Hello Blog,
As you may know, I study at Victoria School. Well, if you don't know, Victoria School is located at 2 Siglap Link, once you reach there, it shouldn't be unnoticed, it is quite a big building. However, it looks like this(right)...
However, what I want to talk about is what HAPPENS in Victoria School. If you have any queries about the school, you can always go to the Victoria School Public Website. You know, in school, many people think going to school is boring, having being drilled by teachers for 5 hours in the morning, it can be tiring. Yet, I am proud to be a "Victorian"(a student that studies in Victoria School or Victoria Junior College). Whatever that happens in school, is not that boring, but still rather interesting. For example, whatever that happened in my co-curricular activity is definitely more fun than my school curriculum.
Now, if you do not know, I belong to Victoria School Concert Band(VSCB). VSCB is a good band, they have scored Gold in the Singapore Youth Festival(SYF) many times, nd probably won some Gold With Honours. Needless to say, we are aiming to get Gold With Honours again this time in SYF, but it is going to take A LOT of practice. What we do in our band practice everyday is of course perfecting our pieces, and making music. Now, today, we had another band practice again with our conductor Mr Tan Beng Wee. Obviously he started pointing out our weaknesses, and therefore trying to clear them. With our problems solved, then we could play with more colour and vibrance. Then, we practiced our instruments, hoping to get better. I played the clarinet, one of the instruments that belonged to the higher woodwinds section of the entire band.
Still, however, you may think band may seem boring to you, it is interesting. We learn marching like uniformed groups and play music. However you may think, I enjoy what I do in school.
How about you? I hope you like what you do. It is late. See you!

Luck? Is it chance or artificial? --- Something unusual that happened
Hello Blog,
It is me again! Now this is the 4th post now, and probably, you would have been bored now as I haven't been writing anything interesting. Well, probably, you might find THIS interesting...
Now, what do you know about luck? As many people know, luck is contributed from fortune, and determines what many people believe in chance or accident. Well, actually, this is what happened.
Of course, if luck really exists, then I would be rather UN-lucky. Why? It all happened as I was walking back home from my school. It was supposed to be a perfectly ordinary day, but it all started a black cat scurried past my feet. Well, normally, a person who doesn't believe in luck would think this is perfectly normal. How about me, I don't really believe in this, but a black cat is sure to be equivalent to some bad luck.
Next, I thought it would be great to have some cool air in the nearby McDonald's. I went in, walked a few steps forward and before i knew it, the next unlucky event happened. With a "craak" I knew something was wrong. I took a step back and realized what unfortunate event had happened. The floor tile I stepped on was cracked badly, as if it smashed by a hammer. I then decided to walk back home instead. Well, if that black cat was not unlucky enough, this would definitely be worse than the cat.
I thought hopefully, well, there shouldn't be anything unlucky at home now. Walking back home, I wished badly that I would find a 10-cent coin or a four-leafed clover somewhere to neutralize my misfortune. Sadly, I could not find anything. At home, I tried not to touch anything so that nothing bad would happen. Now, did I say that I didn't believe in luck? Normally, I wouldn't. However, under such unlucky circumstances, it is horribly hard to not get anxious.
Alas, the final but most unlucky event struck me as I stared at it, shocked. I accidentally dropped my personal mirror on the ground, smashing it into countless splinters of glass. Ouch, with all these unlucky events added together, I am CERTAINLY VERY unlucky. Hopefully, such events wouldn't affect me in what I do.
Oh, Lady Luck, pardon me please, I don't want all these bad luck!
Well, that's all for now... Hope you aren't as unlucky as me!

A moment doing something I enjoyed most.
Dear Blog,
Now, since all my previous talks with you, I am certain that you may not know a single bit about me, be it what I do, what I like, or probably my family. Now, I shall tell you something that I always do when I am left alone. But of course, you may not see me do it often now, simply because of how busy I am, as assignments are piled up to my neck just waiting for my attention.
Actually, you can guess what a boy might do when he is rather restless. Play computer games? Play with their toys or stationery? Draw randomly on a blank piece of drawing paper? Well, truly speaking, I do not do any of these when I am restless. Perhaps I may play computer games, but what do most famous philosophists do? That is right, they think.
Yes, you may think this may be odd, but indeed, I think. I think about stories that can be written, I think about what the future would be, but of course, being a playful boy, I may wonder about any high-tech gadgets that may be created a decade later from now...
However, you may think this is quite a weird and senseless thing to do, but well, what can you do when you are waiting for the bus to come while at the busstop with nothing interesting to do? You have your mind, your brain, which is ever so powerful, it is more imaginative than your video game, it operates faster than your computer, and it can bring you to another dimension created by you yourself, which has obviously better graphics than your television screen. Furthermore, one can never think of any bad effects that thinking or imagining can cause, perhaps only good things.
Imagining with your mind helps you improve your imagination and logic, which can help you anytime whenever you will need to churn out an idea for a project or essay. Furthermore, imagining is absolutely harmless, it cannot hurt you because it is not real, and you can decide anything or anyone in your own virtual world.
Having said these, you should not think too much or in class, as you might get in trouble. Well, thinking TOO much will cause you to be too imaginative and being in your own world. Now you see how powerful playing with your mind is.
Still, sometimes, it doesn't hurt to just let your imagination run wild and think of many things. You may not realise, but sometimes I do that and I kill half an hour of my time.
Well, enough talking about playing with your imagination. Although this may seem unusual, but this is how inventors or scientists develop their own theories or devices. I hope you could try some day too!

Chinese New Year is coming!
Dear Blog,
Chinese New Year is coming! That will mean one thing..
I am RICH RICH RICH!!! Well, that isn't really the point of Chinese New Year, or CNY as we all call it.
Actually, Chinese New Year is always related to the colour red, simply because people always decorate thier houses red or gold.

I am RICH RICH RICH!!! Well, that isn't really the point of Chinese New Year, or CNY as we all call it.
Actually, Chinese New Year is always related to the colour red, simply because people always decorate thier houses red or gold.
However, this is due to their beliefs and traditions, that red is auspicious and lucky. Still, Chinese New Year is supposed to be happy and cheerful. As everyone understands as well, Chinese New Year has 3 days for celebration and visiting of your relatives not just for the "ang paos"(red packets that contain money).
The main purpose of Chinese New Year is for reuniting with your family and relatives and being together. However, my 3 days of Chinese New Year are not as relaxing as it is supposed to be for most people, yet I am quite busy because I have quite a number of relatives to visit, more on the maternal side.
Still, my family and I are busy not preparing the red packets but decorating the house for relatives that may visit us! While trying to hang couplets by the door, we are also trying to pack our house, as it is believed that we should throw out all the old things and welcoming the new, which brings in good luck. We are also busy shopping, for we need to wear new clothes for Chinese New Year. I am so looking forward to Chinese New Year!
Oh well, looks like it is time to go! I hope you have fun this Chinese New Year!

Merry Christmas
Hello Blog,
Ho Ho Ho and a Merry Christmas to you! Today is the day where everyone is merry and joyful!
Although u may think, Christmas is supposed to be celebrated with snow, but i had my Christmas in the summer! Interesting, don't u think so? Well, this is because Singapore, is summer all year round!
However, the summer does not stop me from having lots of fun on Christmas Day. Saying this, of course, my parents brought my family and I to somewhere to have some "cold winter fun" in Singapore! You may wonder, didn't I say Singapore has summer all year round? Then where is this cold place in Singapore where you can play with snow?
Well, it is no other than the freezing cold Snow City in Singapore! Well, of course, the snow there isn't actually real snow, it is actually chemicals that are fused together making the "snow" that u see there, but it feels like snow, and looks like snow too!
With all the snow all around us, I have finally tried what i have never tried with all the heat from the summer. Firstly, I tried skiing, which was something that was very dangerous. With two block of wood stuck to your feet, it was physically impossible to walk without slipping or falling. On a safer thought, a snowball fight is exceptionally fun as well.
One would never imagine that a playful snowball fight would actually hurt too! Judging by the look of the snowball, nobody expects it to be painful, yet it is as dense as a block of ice! So, logically speaking, being hit by a snowball is the same as being hit by a rock.
Finally, of course, I believe the best part of Christmas is the presents. What I like is guessing what is in the presents then unwrapping it, finding out that I am always wrong.
Well, after unwrapping my presents, I believe this Christmas is the best I ever had yet.
Goodbye, and I hope you have unwrapped something you would like for Christmas!
